BROCKTON, MA — Brockton Superior Court has announced that will be closed for several days due to COVID-19 exposure. The courthouses will be cleaned during the closure and reopen on Thursday, Jan. 26. "The Brockton Superior Court is closed temporarily for disinfecting and will reopen on Thursday 1/28," says the district's website. "A Probation staff person who was last at the courthouse on 1/20 has tested positive for COVID-19." The temporary closure of Brockton Superior Court comes after the state announced a 90-day plan for operations on Jan. 8. The plan, which will last through April 5, includes staffing court offices at 50% capacity, adopting a phased approach to resuming jury trials, developing jury trial priority plans, and expanding remote operations.
