Being a small business owner can be fun, fulfilling, and financially rewarding! But where does a kid start?! In this interactive, 9-week course, students will learn valuable insider information that will help them launch, run, and protect a small business – whether it’s now, or in the future! Through visual instruction, skill-building games, engaging discussions, team breakout sessions, and practical, real-world homework assignments, students will come to understand DOZENS of important aspects of small business ownership, including: • The legal steps to building a business • The difference between branding and marketing • How to keep records • Where to find answers • And much, much more! WHO CAN ATTEND THIS CLASS? Any teen or tween (ages 11 – 17) in the Acadiana area with an interest in being an entrepreneur (now, or in the future) can benefit from this class! Space is limited, though, so reserve your spot today! HOW MUCH DOES IT COST? We made it easy! It's only $70 to reserve your spot. Then, $70 payments are due on weeks 4 and 7. That's it! WHAT ELSE IS INCLUDED? Each participant will receive a 3-ring binder on the first day of class. We hope to see you there! **SAFETY & SECURITY - The Wonderland Performing Arts Center is a brand new, state-of-the-art facility that includes a coded main entry, and security cameras in every classroom. - In compliance with the current COVID regulations, masks will be required at all times while in the Wonderland facility. Medical exceptions are allowed. While at their desks, students will sit 6 feet apart. During group activities, students will be in small groups of no more than 3 or 4. If the COVID19 regulations change, at either the state or federal level, LBM and WPAC will make adjustments accordingly. -Parents and/or guardians will be required to complete a Waiver and Emergency Contact form on the first day of class. Students will also need to read and sign an LBM Code of Conduct prior to participating in class.
