Weather Closes HCPS Buildings Tuesday, January 26

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — Due to inclement weather, Harford County Public Schools buildings will be closed Tuesday, Jan. 26. Technology hub sites and all buildings will be closed to staff, and essential personnel will receive instruction from their supervisors, according to officials. Staff who can work virtually should do so Tuesday, according to Harford County Public Schools. "We understand disruptions may occur, and staff are encouraged to continue to support students as best we can," Harford County Public Schools said in a statement Monday night. "If additional changes to the instructional schedule are needed, we will provide that information as soon as possible." The COVID-19 vaccination clinic for those at Patterson Mill Middle/High School will operate with changes that authorities said were previously communicated. "If these changes affect your scheduled appointment, you have already been contacted directly by the Harford County Health Department (HCHD)," school system officials said. "If you did not hear from the HCHD, there is no change to your scheduled appointment." Harford County is under a winter weather advisory until 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26.
