Awesome God So good are You, our God in heaven A loving Father above all men Forever your mercies do endure We need count on them more and more You are a God of so many blessings And fulfiller of all life’s good things Your creation is so overwhelming We see you in stars, trees, and plants flowering You meet our every need in your will Your ways are what is best still Eternal life is given by your grace As You guide us at your mercies pace Your forgiveness is a gift that is free We only must bend our heart’s knee As we bow with a grateful heart That is all You wish on our part We need not work hard and strive It is for this You gave your life To cover our punishment, guilt, and shame We only need to call on your Name All that we owe you took to the cross So, in You we could have no loss Your blessings come from morn till night As you show us how to live in your light You loved us before we first loved You Even before we had a clue You had a plan that would cover all we need We never have to beg or plead You took a beating on your back So, in our bodies there would be no lack By those stripes You surely heal Now our hearts you have made still Our sins became as far as North from South When “It is finished” came from your mouth As long as it is not in ourselves we believe Someday your awesome face we will see So, Dear Lord, Jesus, we praise and thank You Which cannot cover all that You do Please accept with humility What our limited hearts can offer Thee Written by Mary Arlene Hibbs Inspired by the Holy Spirit [email protected]
