STRATFORD, CT — Some Stratford students are on an all remote learning schedule due to staffing issues amid the coronavirus. Students at Nichols Elementary School return to the classroom Tuesday after an online learning day Monday that was the result of two new cases reported Sunday night, according to an email from the school district. Classrooms 15 and 16 at Nichols will remain on remote learning because of staffing issues. Third-grade classes at Wilcoxson Elementary School are also currently remote due to staffing concerns. The school reported one new case Sunday. Other recently reported cases include two Monday at Bunnell High School, one Monday at Stratford High School and one Sunday at Chapel Elementary School. As of early Tuesday morning, 14 students and six staff members were in isolation with the virus, and 151 students and staffers were quarantined, according to the district dashboard, which reflects the most current available numbers.
