NOTICE TO CITY OF MILFORD, CONNECTICUT TAXPAYERS Notice is hereby given to the taxpayers of the City of Milford, CT that the second installment of taxes on Real Estate/Sewer Use charges, Personal Property, and Motor Vehicle; as well as the Supplemental Motor Vehicle taxes on the October 1, 2019 Grand List are due and payable on January 1, 2021. If taxes are not received or USPS postmarked on or before February 1, 2021*, such tax will be considered delinquent and subject to interest at a rate of 1.5 percent per month from the January 1, 2021 due date ($2.00 minimum). Residents are encouraged to take advantage of the contactless options available for making payments. This includes making payments: Online, By Mail or by Drop Box. Do not deposit cash in any drop box. By Mail: Check payable to “Milford Tax Collector” and send to Milford Tax Collector, PO Box 3025, Milford, CT 06460. If a receipt is required, please mail the bill(s) including a self-addressed stamped envelope. Online: Visit www.ci.milford.ct.us/online-services Services fees apply. Drop Box: Do NOT deposit cash payments. The first drop box is located outside the Parsons Building on the sidewalk near the entrance to the Tax Office and is available 24/7. The second drop box is located within the Parsons Building in the hallway near the Tax Office and is only available 8:30am-2:00pm. In Person: If you have extenuating circumstances and need to pay in person, the office is open Monday-Friday 8:30am-2:00pm, except holidays. Recommended 8:30am-10:00am for seniors/age 65+ and 10:00am-2:00pm for the public. Please enter Door #2 Handicap Entrance and Exit Door #3. Mask and Social Distancing enforced. Payment in person may be made by check, cash, or credit/debit card at the Milford Tax Collector’s Office, 70 West River St, Milford CT. Service fees apply for debit/credit card transactions. Failure to receive a bill does not relieve the taxpayer of responsibility for payment of taxes or interest charges (CT Gen Stat 12-130). Interest is charged on all late payments, no exceptions. If you have purchased property or paid off a mortgage or do not have a tax bill, please contact the Tax Collector’s Office at 203-783-3217 for amount due or a copy of the bill.
