WATSONVILLE, CA — The husband-and-wife team that runs five regional 7-Eleven stores donated 150 turkeys and other food items to Watsonville residents this week, The Pajaronian reported. Sherry Dang and Kirk di Cicco, of Watsonville, have practiced the tradition for 13 years, the paper reported. Dang is a refugee from Vietnam and arrived in the United States — "the land of opportunity," in 1982, she said on her LinkedIn profile. She's owned a small business since 1989. Dang was often homeless and hungry as a child and sought to give back upon her arrival in America, she told The Pajaronian. Dang and di Cicco spent most of Monday handing out gifts to their community, the paper reported. Read more at The Pajaronian.
