Description

Friday Night Live w/ BoDean and the Poachers Collectively, BoDean and The Poachers have one impressive resume even though they're still technically newcomers to the Georgia music scene. Lead guitarist and singer-songwriter, Brandon Fox taught himself guitar at age 9 and shortly after his unique talent caught his Father’s attention, who was also an accomplished musician. By age 15, Brandon was playing with distinguished musicians 30 years his senior and considered one of the best guitarists in the region. Brandon's distinct sound has made him a staple of the Bo Henry Band for the past two decades, who has opened up for The Marshall Tucker Band and played prolific venues such as The Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, Florida. Todd Fox, Brandon’s brother who was also discovered by their father, played together with Brandon in their first band, Peacemaker. Todd’s drumming style and high energy keep the Poachers on beat and in time. Shane Brown, Chris Overman, and Michael Miller who are also a part of BoDean and The Poachers & The Evergreen Family Band that have played amongst the likes of critically acclaimed artists such as Chris Stapleton, Zac Brown, the Travelin’ McCourys, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Del McCoury, and David Grisman. Brown started out playing electric bass with local band Automatic Mojo, then took up the standup bass when he was invited to join the Evergreen Family Band. Overman performed as a one-man band playing bass, hi-hat, guitar, and harmonica for years until he met Brown in 2016 who invited him to bring his talents to The EFB. Miller strokes the washboard and is a great addition to the back porch pickin kind of sound this band is known for. The new band is set apart from their former groups by the fact that they only perform original songs. BoDean & the Poachers is a place for these singer-songwriters to alchemize a legacy all their own through the creation of their own distinct sound.
