SONOMA COUNTY, CA — A Santa Rosa man who works as a teacher for Sonoma Valley High School is accused of having a sexually inappropriate relationship with a student. Darian Tucker, 45, was arrested Monday following an investigation by Sonoma County sheriff's detectives, Sonoma police Chief Orlando Rodriguez said Tuesday in a news release. The investigation began Jan. 14 when a deputy was dispatched to Sonoma Valley High School for a report of child molestation, Rodriguez said. The case was turned over to detectives, who gathered and analyzed evidence, including sexually inappropriate emails, Rodriguez said. Detectives believe the relationship lasted around three months, and that Tucker and the girl did not meet in person. Tucker was booked Monday into Sonoma County jail on suspicion of a felony charge of meeting a minor for lewd contact and was released on $50,000 bail later that night, the chief said. "We are sharing Tucker's booking photo because we believe he may have victimized other girls or young women," Rodriguez said.
