Roswell Roots invites you to view The African Americans Inventors' Exhibit. The African Americans Inventors’ Exhibit (AAIE) is a 26 item travelling exhibit which showcases inventions by several African Americans and is displayed in alphabetical order from A to Z. The exhibit exposes the visitor to various inventions by African Americans, it cultivates conversation about how these inventions impact our society today; it generates a desire for some to become entrepreneurs and it promotes new interest and an increased awareness of inventions by African Americans. The exhibit will be open from Wednesday, February 17 through Saturday, February 20. Reservations are required during the hours of 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. The exhibit will open to the public at 12:00 p.m. and close at 3:00 p.m. No more than 15 people are allowed in the facility at a time. Reservations are available during the following times: Appointment Viewing Hours 10:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. 10:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. 11:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Open to Public Viewing hours 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. ____________________________________________ COVID 19 PROCEDURES: To ensure the safety and health of both our visitors and staff, here are a few important details that you should be aware of prior to attending this event: Masks are required while attending and participating in this event. To reduce the spread of COVID-19, the Mayor has ordered that patrons may not enter any City of Roswell facility without a face covering. Masks must be worn by everyone ages 2 and up while in the facility. Arrival and Temperature Checks. All patrons will have your temperature taken at the front door prior to entering. Patrons registering a temperature of 100.4 or above will not be allowed to enter. Social Distancing. Please be respectful and accommodating while viewing the exhibit and allow for social distance between all groups of visitors. Finally, as a reminder, patrons may not enter any City Facility if they have been diagnosed with COVID-19, exhibited symptoms of COVID-19, had contact with a person that has or is suspected to have COVID-19, within the past fourteen (14) days. If you are feeling unwell or are awaiting the results of a COVID-19 test, please stay home.
