SANDY SPRINGS, GA — The City of Sandy Springs is updating its citywide transportation program and is hosting two virtual meetings to gain feedback from the public on proposed roadway, intersection, mobility, pedestrian and safety projects. The first meeting will take place at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday. The second meeting will be held that same day from 6:30–7:30 p.m. Both meetings will contain the same information. A link to the virtual meetings will be posted on the city's website. The current Transportation Master Plan was adopted was in 2008, with many changes taking place in and around the city since that time. The plan is intended to identify and offer recommendations on transportation projects and policies that will improve the mobility and overall safety for all users. Goals of the Transportation Master Plan include promoting an interconnected and efficient system while maintaining the existing transportation system. The presentation, proposed projects, and a survey will be posted on the city's website following the meetings. Public comment and surveys will be accepted until Feb. 18.
