The Baptist Church of Franklin is accepting applications for a music leader. The music leader will work directly with the pastor to plan and lead Sunday worship. Guitar or keyboard players preferred. The candidate must have the ability to lead congregational singing, and to work with vocalists and other musicians. Competence in charting and introducing new songs would be expected. The church has a 24 channel sound system with digital board. There is both a Yamaha baby grand piano and an impressive pipe organ in the worship center. The church’s worship style is a blend of contemporary praise and worship, and traditional hymns (usually played in a contemporary style). Currently the church is looking for someone who can lead on Sunday mornings only, but there is potential for job growth in the future. Pay negotiable depending on experience and skill. Training and coaching is available for the right candidate who needs development in leading congregational worship.
