My adventurous great aunt passed away, leaving her collection of paintings. She had travelled all her life, and bought paintings by local artists everywhere she went. We’ve identified all the other artists...this is one we can’t find any info about, though. It’s by Mary Hansen. Size is 24” x 30”, oil on canvas. We’re guessing from the ‘50’s or early ‘60’s. Primitive, childlike painting of a seated woman dressed in white in a kind of South American motif. The background is bright orange.
