Join Columbus Gives Back and Welcome Warehouse to stock and sort donated items to provide Dublin families with the resources they need! Columbus Gives Back invites you to join us at the Welcome Warehouse for an evening of stocking, sorting, and other projects as necessary to help them provide such an essential service to individuals and families in the Dublin area. When: Thursday, February 18, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Event Leaders: [email protected] Where: Welcome Warehouse, 7032 Hospital Dr. Dublin, OH 43016. It is easiest to park behind the shopping plaza off Perimeter Drive (see image below). Accessibility: The back entrance and warehouse are accessible to those with any mobility restrictions. COVID-19 Precautions: Due to the current stay-at-home advisory in place in Franklin county, Columbus Gives Back is limiting the number/type of events on our calendar for the time being. All Columbus Gives Back volunteers are required to wear face masks and observe social distancing as appropriate to complete volunteer tasks. Volunteers who are sick, especially with fever or the growing number of Covid-19 symptoms, should stay home. We highly recommend that our volunteers wash their hands, use hand sanitizer at the beginning and end of the event, and/or wear gloves. We will follow whatever safety policy our nonprofit partners have in addition to the safety precautions listed above. Any volunteers determined to neglect these precautions and put other volunteers or the people we serve at risk will be dismissed from the event. In an effort to keep our volunteers, event leaders, and non-profit partners safe we ask that each volunteer or event leader sign up for no more than one event in a seven-day period, in order to limit the number of individuals you come into contact with if you are exposed to Covid-19. If you were exposed before or test positive after having participated in a CGB event, please contact the event leader or reach out to [email protected] so that we can best support contact tracing efforts. About Welcome Warehouse: Welcome Warehouse exists to connect families in the Dublin City School District with the resources they need to thrive. Many families in our community are temporarily in need because of job loss, underemployment, health crises, or other challenges. We work with the community to help families meet basic needs, and we offer friendship, spiritual support and hope for a better tomorrow. About Columbus Gives Back: Columbus Gives Back coordinates group volunteer events with local non-profits, organizes philanthropic happy hours to raise support and awareness for our non-profit partners, and participates in other philanthropic events while emphasizing our social twist: to have fun with volunteers new and old during and after events in the hopes of creating a culture of community engagement amongst our target audience of young professionals. #SocialTwist: Social Twists have been suspended until further notice, but typically we will also encourage volunteers to join us afterwards for food and drinks to better get to know the other cool folks in our group! Rather we encourage each of our volunteers to support local business during this time.
