In all sessions, attendees will meet via Zoom and discuss different agave spirits with Lou, focusing on a different aspect of the world of agave spirits. The story of agave spirits will be explored each Thursday during February through five carefully selected spirits every week, each one a generous 50mL pour. Week 2 will focus on a single brand, featuring Espadín, Cirial, Madrecuishe, Tepextate and Tobalá, all from Cruz de Fuego, by Margarita Blas and Carlos Mendez Blas, mother-and-son mezcaleros, in their palenque in Santiago Matatlan. Lou Bank is one of the hosts of the Agave Road Trip podcast and founder of SACRED, a USA-based, 501c3 not-for-profit that uses traditional and artisanal agave spirits from rural Mexico to help improve the quality of life in the communities where those spirits are made.
