Learn the safe operation of a wood lathe and tool fundamentals to create spindle projects Participants will learn how to operate a full scale Jet wood turning lathe applicably to other brand machines. Carbide tip and conventional turning tools will be covered. Course includes one full hour of instruction plus an extra hour of supervised spindle turning. Completion of this class and five hours of practice are prerequisites for Wood Turning II which covers face grain bowl turning.
