Come enjoy a fruitful forage at Lake Raleigh! Together, we will all work on how to identify several species of culinary fungi as well as edible vegetation while discussing some of their nutritional and healing qualities. Some examples of things we may find include lion's mane mushroom, winter oyster mushrooms, enoki mushroom, amber jelly fungus, turkeytail mushroom, reishi mushroom, wild garlic, wild ginger miner's lettuce, hickory nuts, pecans, black walnuts. *Must wear Bright Orange or Green clothing and hats* (ABSOLUTELY REQUIRED, ! YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO JOIN US WITHOUT THIS REGULATION CLOTHING. Does not need to be a vest [could be a shirt], but must be worn overtop any jackets, sweatshirts, etc.) 5 out of 10 strength and endurance Dress for weather and comfort Bring tools for gathering such as gloves, trowel/spade, and/or container(s) (all useful but not necessary), WATER, and bag lunch Identification materials will be provided at the location. Last but not the least, follow the CDC guideline for Covid-19.
