SEA CLIFF, NY — A woman was transported to an area hospital for treatment of partial burns on her face after a four-alarm blaze broke out inside of a home on Altamont Avenue in Sea Cliff on Saturday, Nassau County police said
Police said the department received a 911 call just after 3 p.m., and when officers arrived they saw the home "partially engulfed in flames." No one else was reported injured.
The fire was brought under control by roughly 65 firefighters from the Sea Cliff Fire Department, as well as several other fire departments, including Glenwood, Glen Cove and Rosyln, police said. Arson/Bomb Squad detectives and Nassau County Fire Marshals also responded to the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
The fire was one of three over the weekend along the North Shore. Local firefighters also responded to homes in Lattingtown on Saturday afternoon, as well as Great Neck on Sunday night.
