We saw a need in our local area for a safe place for officers and their families to come together to get poured into and gather information to help them not only survive this profession, but thrive in it. In 2008, she and her husband - a San Antonio, Texas police officer - founded Wives on Duty Ministries, with a mission to support, encourage, and inspire first responder spouses. Allison has authored 2 books, Because I'm Suitable: The Journey of a Wife on Duty and Cuffs and Coffee: A Devotional for Wives of America's Law Enforcement officers. Allison strives to share her journey through the trials of law enforcement life with openness and transparency to bless and encourage you through your own. Sharonda Calderon is the widow of Deputy Homero Calderon, an 18yr veteran with the Dallas County Sheriff Department, who died by suicide on June 29, 2018. She has a bachelor degree in criminal justice from Dallas Baptist University and currently pursuing advance studies in psychology. She and her husband started their career together in law enforcement with the Sheriff Dept in 2000. She currently works as a legal assistant for a small law firm in Dallas TX. ShaRonda has become an advocate for mental health and suicide awareness because she understands the difficulties living with and the stigma attached to it. Michael J. McSellers has served our country as a United States Marine Corps veteran and has served the Common Wealth of Virginia as State Trooper for over sixteen and a half years and is currently serving in the Northern Virginia area. Michael has served for over 14 years as a Field Training Officer and a member of the Honor Guard. Michael has also served over 3 years as a Chaplain, and has been a coordinator for the Rise Christian Police Conference and speaker held during National Police Week. Michael is also the host of a podcast titled Faith on the Force and is a speaker for Billy Graham's National Law Enforcement Retreat, the First Responders Bridge Retreat and he's also on the Advisory Board of Blue Help which is a non profit organization that bring awareness to PTSD in law enforcement, law enforcement suicide while also providing assistance to families of Law Enforcement suicide. Michael is married with two children.
