After a year of recurring lockdowns, the evidence of their effectiveness remains ambiguous but their social and economic harms are severe. This presentation will explore the reasons that the lockdowns failed to halt the coronavirus, and why many health experts including the World Health Organization warned against using them prior to the events of 2020.
