Description
Wilbur is a roughly 6-year-old male chinchilla whom I need to re-home. The reasoning for re-homing is that I just don’t have time to spend with him anymore. He is sweet yet timid; it takes time for him to warm up to you. Once he’s comfortable, he’s a sweet little guy. He is very used to routine, and every evening he sits with his feet perched on the edge of the cage, waiting for his dust bath and daily raisin. (He can only eat 1 raisin a day so as to not cause digestive issues.) He has never liked being held much. I would definitely say he does not belong in a home with small children. A home without other prey-driven animals (dogs, cats, etc.) is preferred, just for his safety and to minimize his stress. Chinchillas are not for the inexperienced; do your research beforehand. Wilbur will come with his cage (which is an old china cabinet we have converted into a multi-level cage), bag of food, food dish, water bottle, exercise wheel, dust bath, and dust. I am asking a re-homing fee of $250 just to ensure he goes to a loving home. If you are interested or have any questions, contact Cassie via email.
