Description
Kindness Matters Ferret Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit, licensed rescue, located in Acworth, one mile from I-75 exit 277. Surrenders accepted and ferrets are adopted out. There is an adoption process.
We provide ferret: information, answers to questions, GOOD vet referral, nails trimmed for free, boarding, emergency help when you can't get into a vet, and much more.
Cages and supplies sold, including food, Ferretone, water bottles, hammocks, shampoo, treats, nail trimmers, tubes, flea products, food and water bowls, toys, cleaner, cages, and just about anything you might need.
All ferrets at the rescue receive two distemper vaccinations (pet store ferrets still need them). They have been treated for fleas, ear mites, heartworms and intestinal parasites. They are free roam, handled frequently, taught not to bite and constantly being taught to use the litter box or newspaper. We learn their likes and dislikes, so you don't have to experiment with food, toys and such.
There isn't a set adoption fee. It depends upon the ferret, it's age, how well it gets along with other ferrets here, how many ferrets there are here, etc. Adoption fees range from $25 (for an older ferret with adrenal disease) to $220 for a young healthy ferret.
GA Dept. of Agriculture license # A11-0057. Rescue vet: Bartow Animal Hospital, Dr. Pottts, Cartersville, GA.
