This 22-mile ruck walk will be used to raise awareness and funds for programs providing support of our veterans. This is the 3rd annual event to bring awareness to veteran suicide and the organizations designed to bring this epidemic to an end. The current average rate of veterans that we lose to the battle with mental health, via suicide, in the United States has risen above 22 veterans per day. That is why this wonderful mission by the US Military Veterans Hall of Fame is so vital. The overall efforts to highlight the outreach missions and partnerships with our corporate and community leading companies will give our countries heroes hope, connection and a sense of purpose as the community comes together to say "Welcome Home... we care". Starting at 8am, a team of veterans will set out on a 22 mile walk and ruck course, from Concord Mills Mall to South Park. Any amount you choose to donate towards this worthy cause will be greatly appreciated! We are also seeking mile supporters who will sponsor the walk at the below levels: $0.25 per mile which equals a total $5.50 donation $0.50 per mile which equals a total $11.00 donation $1.00 per mile which equals a total $22.00 donation $2.00 per mile which equals a total $44.00 donation We are asking all who are interested in doing this walk with us to please do so virtually, as we need to keep everyone safe due to COVID-19 protocol this year (so we cannot gather as we normally do).Whether you do one mile or more than one, please share your pictures and videos with us so that we can see your awesome participation and smiles as you join us in this mission!
