Join Boys & Girls Clubs of Oceanside for a drive-in movie screening of Grease at MiraCosta College on Friday, April 9, 2021! Boys & Girls Clubs of Oceanside presents an exciting, limited-space Drive-In Movie screening of Grease at MiraCosta College (Lot 4C) to kick-off our 70th Year Anniversary Celebration. We will be observing all County, State and CDC guidelines for COVID-19 safety. Tickets include entry for one car, up to six people, to the movie showing and a popcorn and candy combo. The number of people in your car MUST NOT exceed the number of seatbelts in your car. Parking is first come, first serve. Please arrive between 5:00pm-6:45pm. Any late entries, after 6:45pm, may not be accommodated. Please have your ticket on your phone or printed out to be scanned upon arrival. The event is located at MiraCosta College (1 Barnard Drive, Oceanside, CA 92056) in Lot 4C. Please view the map before arriving and follow signage to the correct parking lot. Every other parking spot will be marked off to achieve social distancing. Event parking opens at 5:00pm and is a first come, first serve basis. Staff will guide you to the next available parking spot. If you have a large truck, you may be parked so that your vehicle does not obstruct the view of others. Additional movie snacks and soft drinks will be available for purchase from 5:00pm-7:00pm. When visiting the snack bar, please maintain social distancing standards and wear your mask. We look forward to seeing you there! *No refunds. Please read through the following FAQs so that you can enjoy the movie safely! Q: WHEN DOES THE DRIVE-IN OPEN? A: Vehicles may begin to enter the drive-in at 5:00pm. The show will begin around 7:00pm. Late entry (after 6:45pm) may not be permitted. Q: HOW DO I GET SOUND TO HEAR THE MOVIE? A: The sound is broadcast through an FM radio that you can receive through the audio of your car stereo or a battery-powered, portable FM radio. If you are concerned that your car battery may run down, please bring a battery-powered, portable FM radio. Q: WHAT SAFETY PRECAUTIONS ARE BEING TAKEN? A: We will be following County, State and CDC Guidelines as mandated by the state of CA. To help ensure safety, we will be distancing vehicles. We ask that all guests remain in your vehicles, and wear a mask should you have to leave your vehicle. In the event it is necessary to leave your vehicle, all guests must use social distancing practices and wear a mask. Q: HOW DO I CHECK-IN? A: As you enter the parking lot, please have your ticket ready to be scanned, either on your phone, the Eventbrite mobile app, or printed. Q: HOW DO I PARK? A: A staff member will guide you to the next available spot. Please park in spots that are not crossed off, to ensure social distancing. If you have a large truck, you may be asked to park so that your vehicle does not obstruct the view of others. Q: DO I NEED TO STAY INSIDE MY VEHICLE? A: Yes, all attendees should stay inside or next to their vehicle. You can sit in folding chairs outside your car, until the movie begins. Once the sun goes down and the movie begins, all guests must return to their cars. Q: WILL THERE BE FOOD AVAILABLE? A: Yes, additional movie snacks and soft drinks will be available for purchase at our snack bar from 5:00pm-7:00pm. When visiting the snack bar, please maintain social distancing standards and wear a mask. Q: WILL RESTROOMS BE AVAILABLE? A: Yes. There will be signs directing you to portable restrooms. We ask that no more than two guests per vehicle use the restroom at one time when possible. Please use social distancing and wear your face mask when outside your car. By purchasing a ticket to the movie you acknowledge there is an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 in any public place where people are gathered. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. People over the age of 65 and those with underlying medical conditions are considered high-risk. By attending BGCO's Drive-In Movie Event you voluntarily assume all risk associated with COVID-19. Please follow social distancing, wash/sanitize your hands and wear a mask to help protect yourself and others. Please stay home if you are experiencing fever, cough or other symptoms associated with COVID-19, as detailed by the Centers for Disease Control.
