By City News Service, Times of San Diego January 24, 2021 The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County rose Sunday to its highest amount since March 16, increasing 1 cent to $3.373. The average price has risen 12 of the past 13 days, increasing 9.6 cents, including seven-tenths of a cent Saturday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 3.9 cents more than one week ago and 18.1 cents higher than one month ago, but 20.5 cents less than one year ago. "The California Energy Commission reported (Wednesday) that gasoline inventories are at a three-month low, probably due to the start of the annual refinery maintenance period," said Jeffrey Spring, the Automobile Club of Southern California's corporate communications manager.
