SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA — The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County rose Monday to its highest amount since March 16, increasing six-tenths of a cent to $3.379. The average price has risen 13 of the past 14 days, increasing 10.2 cents, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 3.7 cents more than one week ago and 17.5 cents higher than one month ago, but 20 cents less than one year ago. "The California Energy Commission reported (Wednesday) that gasoline inventories are at a three-month low, probably due to the start of the annual refinery maintenance period," said Jeffrey Spring, the Automobile Club of Southern California's corporate communications manager. — City News Service
