Join Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful as we create a community garden in Wellswood! Community volunteers will work with Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful to install three hydroponic grow towers, plant garden beds and a pollinator garden. The gardens will then be used by neighbors, volunteers and students as they participate in hands-on activities and learn how to grow fresh, healthy food and learn about nutrition and healthy eating. Friday, February 5, 2021 Wellswood Park 4918 N Mendenhall Drive, Tampa, FL 33603 Check-in:10:00 a.m. Project: 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (or until completion) What to bring:• Sunscreen• Hat/Sunglasses• Protective footwear (close-toed, no sandals or flip-flops)• Insect Repellent• Reusable water-bottle• Snack• Mask Provided: Gloves , Water and Snack Due to COVID-19, as requested by Parks Department, all volunteers must wear a mask and/or remain 6ft apart at the event.*Promotional giveaways available while supplies last.
