Press release from the City of Cornelius: Posted on: January 22, 2021 Posted on: January 22, 2021 And the Award Goes To... ...the Town's Finance department, and consistently at that! Our Finance department has once again won two awards from the NC Government Finance Officers Association. For the 10th consecutive year, they've been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting Award (CAFR) as well as the Popular Annual Financial Reporting Award (PAFR) for the third consecutive year. The CAFR is a comprehensive audited report that looks closely at the Town's finances while the PAFR is a summary of those findings and is tailored more to the public. The PAFR includes a message from Town Manager Andrew Grant, a profile and facts about the Town, and tons of insightful information into the budget, how it's used, and where it all comes from. We could not be more proud of everyone in Finance for all of their hard work. Congratulations and thank you to everyone involved! As we continue on in the budgeting process, we hope to hear more input from our residents so that the next budget can represent everyone's priorities as accurately as possible.
