Description

I am looking for a rhythm section, guitar or keys for a lot of electric blues - Freddy King, Albert Collins, BB King, chess era Buddy Guy, T Bone Walker West Coast Stuff, Guitar Slim.. Also a few more modern artists like Robben Ford or Coco Montoya depending on interest. I also have a lot of solid original material -it holds up well with the classics. I sing (well), play guitar (both rhythm and lead equally) and I am comfortable fronting a band although I prefer to sing mostly in a call and response style rather than carrying the rythmic impetus as well.. I have a really nice rehearsal spot about 20 mins out of eugene in the country and you can leave a practice amp there, etc safely. As far as originals and the entire set list go, you should listen to the recordings and then develop stuff in your own style that is appropriate. If you aren't willing to listen to the songs first it isn't for you. I don't want to spend rehearsal time on stuff more easily learned at home and none of these songs are too difficult but do have their own uique qualities. I have some chartsl. Here's a couplelinks to an older Soundcloud, ignore a lot other stuff- it's from a horn book or experimental in nature.. First a t-bone walker, second original. Samples from you are great. https://soundcloud.com/travis-crum-1/im-gonna-find-my-baby https://soundcloud.com/travis-crum-1/bird-in-the-hand for now with the pandemic, we are looking at appropriate safe rehearsals. Willingness to rehearse is an absolute. twice a week is usually needed to move forward at all. Everyone has good gear these days but a minimal set-up would be sufficient. I'd like to rehearse up a good couple hour set before the pandemic is over to be able to bust out the gate. Also I prefer to rehearse twice a week so as to avoid backpedaling,. not too loud but enough for the punch. We can social distance with a little extra effort. Another guitar player is desirable, given great rhythm skills, the ability to not overplay and complimentary styles., tc. email is probably best due to the amount of information, but call or text if you need to. thanks travis
