When Gina, a recruiter from Burlington, Massachusetts, opened her door, she was expecting a delivery person — not confetti cannons. But instead of pizza, she got a special at-home celebration from her manager, Mike, and two other co-workers, marking a year-end revenue achievement that not many of her peers hit. "It is a rare occurrence for recruiters to achieve this milestone," Gina explained. "I also now qualify to participate in a company paid trip." Though she knew she hit her goal, she didn't expect such a warm celebration when she received a notification from her Ring Video Doorbell. "Them coming to my house was a complete surprise," Gina said. "Mike called me ahead of time and said a delivery was coming to my house and they called him instead of me. To achieve this milestone and have my team come out to my home and surprise and show support meant everything to me." This gesture of kindness, which took place in front of Gina's Ring Video Doorbell, couldn't have come at a better time. "I have had an extremely difficult year personally and my team knows that," she said. "In February 2020 I lost my maternal grandmother, which was a devastating loss to my entire family. Then in April 2020 I lost my maternal grandfather unexpectedly." Thankfully, Gina's co-workers were there to support her. "[They] reached out constantly," she said. "They were amazing. I could not have achieved this milestone without the support of my team and my family." The fact that her manager and co-workers coordinated this visit "was really special," Gina said. "It just makes you feel like you're appreciated and that the work that you're doing is not going unnoticed." Even though she wasn't prepared for it, Gina wouldn't have had it any other way. "I mean, I had my pajamas on, I had no makeup on, it was very much work-from-home style," she said. "It was awesome, though." Gina loves that her Ring Video Doorbell with the Ring Protect subscription lets her rewatch her big surprise and helps her stay connected to her community, but she also appreciates the added sense of security it helps give her and her family. "If we're not home and someone is at the door or someone's there, we can monitor who it is," she said. "It's really just peace of mind."
