Description

We need to re-home our family dog. Upfront disclosure: My daughter was playing with crutches, which our dog is deathly afraid of, and he bit my daughter in the face and she required stitches. This is the first time we’ve seen aggression in him but with many young children we cannot risk it. He’s crate trained, basic command trained and potty trained. He really is a truly lovely dog until this. He’s 95 pounds and 7 years old. We have had him living with 5 kids from 7 months old to 17 years old. He adores walks and hikes, but he will bark at other dogs without your correction. He does not do well with cats. The humane societies have said he would have to be put down and we cannot find a rescue to take him. We cannot keep him and only want to put him down as a last resort. He is alpha and a natural protector by nature. He doesn’t mind being home alone during the day and has never chewed a thing or ever had an accident in the home. We would want to meet you and see you/your family and bring him by your home. He needs a home without any children under 10, I would say. He would do wonderful with teenagers or adults without children in the home. Please contact me if you’re seriously interested and we can plan a time for you to meet him. Please include information about yourself and the family/home situation he would be living in. Rehoming fee applies.
