I'm one of those people you talk about. I don't "hate" Trump. I don't hate much of anybody. But I never, ever thought that he was fit to be President, and I'm disgusted that enough of my fellow Americans would have voted for him to have given him even the slightest chance of being elected, in 2016, let alone 2020. And my vote for Biden was very very much more against Trump, than for Biden. You say you think that's BULLSHIT, and "WE as Americans should of voted for what's best for our nation's PROTECTION and whati$$$ in our pockets and not in taxes". But, that's *exactly* what I did, so far as I'm concerned. Trump was destroying the country. You don't need to look any further than 1/6 and the continuing presence of armed troops on the capitol to protect our govt from his followers for at least the next 3 months to see the proof of that. He didn't say, "proud boys, stand back, stand down" - he said "stand by". That was no slip of the tongue (or it was, a Freudian slip). You don't need to look further than him redrawing hurricane maps on national TV and threatening to fire the NWS guy for disagreeing with him, suggesting people inject themselves with bleach to cure coronavirus, diverting funds from a veterans' charity to his political campaign, or believing the assurances of a hostile scheming dictator over the factual knowledge of our own intelligence and security forces to know that. Trump is, and has been all his life, a liar and a con-man and a shyster, with no moral compass or values whatsoever. And a buffoon to boot, the laughingstock of the rest of world leadership, even if his power as president of the USA made it too dangerous to laugh at him outright. His image as a business success is a fiction the media created to promote The Apprentice, and as a populist, he's no working class hero, he was born with a silver spoon in his mouth, and doesn't have a clue what working class people struggle with, in fact, he thinks they're suckers and losers. From where I stand, he was *never* fit to be president. But one thing he did learn really well as a reality TV star was how to yank peoples' chains, and how to tap into WWF-style theater and emotion. He's been working to create a cult of personality and to corrode and destroy the foundations of our democracy and the integrity of our institutions for years now, with a shocking degree of success. He has aspirations to be a Putin, a Kim, a Corleone. He's talked of continuing to be president not just in 2020, but in 2024, 2028, 2032 (look it up, he was recorded talking about this). IF he had been re-elected in 2020, he would be resisting stepping down just as much in 2024, as he is now. He would by that time have replaced even more of our civil service and justice branch with personal loyalists, and would have been working to subvert the law about presidential term limits, just like he worked to subvert the election laws in GA in 2020. And he wants his family to be his successors. So yeah, I voted against Trump, and not "for" Biden. I was ashamed Trump was the face America presented to the world, who we said "this is the best of us". If that scumbag is the best of us, who are we? He opposed and actively worked against every value and belief that made America great, and by appealing to the worst in everyone, got people to cheer him on while he did it. Look up and read about what happened the the German Weimar 1930-1940, and how it happened. Good f*cking riddance. And damn right I was protecting the country. I want a real leader in yhe presidency, not a wannabe tinplate dictator who doesn't have a shred of respect for the principles America was founded on, and that made us a world leader.
