Polk County Animal Services has lots of cats and kittens for adoption. ALL COLORS and ages available! They have two sections to check out, one is the adoptable cats section under animal services, those are cats that can be picked up the same day, already spayed/neutered they have all shots, wormer etc. Then there is the stray/found section under animal services, those cats are mostly abandoned on the streets or surrendered by their owners, they are on a hold for a few days before they are euthanized. Although they are in this section they are still up for adoption. If you see an animal you are interested in in the stray/found section you can visit the shelter in person or call the shelter at and give them the animal Id number, which is located next to their picture and the shelter will put a hold on the animal. They will then spay/neuter them and give them all their shots and wormers and a clean bill of health and simply call you to pick them up! The low cost is $40.00 per cat which includes the spay/neuter all shots and a microchip!
