Established Orlando Ska Punk Seeks Guitar Player for original band with influences like Streetlight Manifesto, NOFX, Reel Big Fish, Rancid, Less than Jake, and The Interrupters. We are aged 28-36 with rehearsal space in Orlando proper. We’ve previously opened for bands like Fishbone, Big D and the Kids Table, Less than Jake, Catch 22, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Shaggy, The Pietasters, The English Beat, and many more. We have careers and families, we’re pro players and music educators and we do this for fun and the love of ska punk. Most of us hold music degrees. Seeking someone who loves ska punk and enjoys collaborating on songwriting. Some amount of formal training in instrument is helpful. Pro gear. Own transportation. We have careers and families, we’re pro players and music educators and we do this for fun and the love of ska punk. Most of us hold music degrees. But we’re not looking to get signed or go on tour or make money. It’s low commitment, but the band’s been around a long time. We rehearse once a week or every other week. And we do 2-3 big shows a year- opening for national acts or a big festival or Orlando city soccer or something. We’re all friends and we hang out when we’re not playing too. We’ve played all over the state but as we get older, we pick and choose our gigs pretty carefully and want to have a greater focus on creating content to spread our music to a wider audience online. Ska punk is pretty niche. We’re looking for someone who also loves ska punk and has an interest in collaborating on songwriting. Looking for someone who has some formal training in their instrument with gear and transportation. We like to drink beer, laugh, and we’re looking to make content creation a focus.
