Description

From the Hamilton School District: October 15, 2020 By Denise Lindberg Templeton Middle School Student Council members organized a letter-writing campaign to recognize healthcare heroes who are working around the clock to keep people safe. Their campaign resulted in more than 100 letters written by Templeton students expressing gratitude and encouragement to healthcare workers. The letters also included jokes and riddles to keep spirits light. Do you write letters anymore? A few determined people are doing their best to keep them arriving in U.S. mailboxes. Student Council members distributed the letters through family members and friends who worked at a hospital or clinic. Their letters went to various healthcare establishments in Wisconsin including Advanced Advocate Aurora Health in Waukesha, Bellin Health in Green Bay, Froedtert in Milwaukee and Holy Family Memorial in Manitowoc. It was not the first time the Templeton Student Council organized a letter-writing campaign. This summer Templeton students wrote letters to senior citizens. This press release was produced by the Hamilton School District. The views expressed here are the author's own.
