SHOREWOOD, WI — Health officials in Milwaukee's North Shore communities say the number of COVID-19 test results received each day is on the rise as testing capacity continues to increase. According to the North Shore Health Department, on Thursday, 60 total test results were received by the health department, with two of those being positive. A week ago, on April 29, there were only 23 test results received. According to North Shore Health Department health officials, they are monitoring 20 active cases in the North Shore, and are also providing active monitoring for high-risk contacts of confirmed cases. Officials say health department workers have triaged and processed more than 1,413 suspect cases or contacts and performed several large contact investigations. They're also managing several active cases in Milwaukee to help the Milwaukee Health Department.
