SHOREWOOD, WI — Students who attend schools in the Shorewood School District are getting an unexpected off day Wednesday after officials closed all schools in the district due to a reported threat.
"Due to ongoing safety concerns, all schools in the Shorewood School District and all school activities (including Recreation Department activities) will be closed to students, staff, and families on Wednesday, November 13th. More details will be sent out later this morning," the district said in a news release early Wednesday."
According to a WISN report, a Shorewood High School student was arrested Tuesday after another student told authorities that the student in question created a hit list. Police reportedly made an arrest, and found that the student possessed a loaded gun clip, but no gun.
