SHOREWOOD, WI — People who want to park their cars on the street in Shorewood will now have to get an overnight parking permit after overnight parking rules went back into effect Monday, Shorewood police said.
If a person intends to park on the street between 3 a.m. and 5 a.m., Shorewood police says they will need to either obtain overnight parking permission via the village's parking page online, or have an overnight parking permit.
Shorewood's residents and visitors are allowed 20 temporary, on-street overnight parking permissions per license plate in a calendar year. They can use these permissions by registering their vehicle before 1 a.m. the morning of the requested 3 a.m. to 5 a.m. period.
People are not required to register their vehicle for on-street, overnight parking on Saturday mornings, Sunday mornings or certain holiday mornings.
