Description

SHOREWOOD, WI— In-person voting is moving in Shorewood, sort of. Voters have already voted at the Village Center, but for the upcoming elections in both February and April, the Village passed a resolution moving in-person absentee voting from Village Hall to the Shorewood Village Center, 3920 N Murray Ave. The vote was Monday. Here's why. In March 2020, the Village of Shorewood declared a state of emergency due to COVID-19 and in March 2020 Village Hall doors closed to the general public and remain closed to the general public for the foreseeable future. So village leaders had to vote on an alternative location for the February 16, 2021 Spring Primary Election and April 6, 2021 Spring Election. The Village Center space allows for proper social distancing.
