SHOREWOOD, WI—Police and sheriff's deputies from several Wisconsin communities underwent police training to address concerns about fairness and impartial policing. The recent course, Training Of Trainers, was held for the Kenosha Police Department at Gateway Technical College in Kenosha. The organization Fair and Impartial Policing ran the event. FIP instructors worked with trainers from multiple agencies, including Town of Delavan Police Department, the Shorewood Police Department, the Racine County Sheriff's Office, the Village Of Mount Pleasant Police Department, and the Twin Lakes Police Department The company "uses modern science to train police officers on implicit bias and gives them the tools they need to reduce and manage bias," according to their website. Fair and Impartial Policing© organization has provided implicit-bias-awareness training to agencies to state, local, federal and university police organizations.
