BROOKFIELD, WI —Voters in Brookfield will take to the polls on Tuesday, Aug. 11 for the fall primary election. Voters will see a few notable races including Wisconsin's 5th Congressional District race. Incumbent Republican Jim Sensenbrenner, who was first elected in 1978, is not seeking re-election. The Democratic primary candidate is Tom Palzewicz and Republican primary candidates are Clifford DeTemple and Scott Fitzgerald. Wisconsin's 5th Congressional District includes Jefferson and Washington counties and parts of Dodge, Milwaukee, Walworth, and Waukesha counties. Incumbent Robyn Vining is running in the Democratic primary for Wisconsin State Assembly District 14. Linda Boucher, Bonnie Lee, and Steven Shevey are running in the Republican primary for Wisconsin State Assembly District 14 on August 11, 2020. The state is also sending out absentee ballot mailers to 2.7 million voters in the event voters want to exercise greater caution and vote from home. Polling places The City of Brookfield polling places are as followed: For alderman district 1, the location is Immanuel Baptist Church4250 N. 137th St. District 2, the location is Burleigh Elementary School, 16185 Burleigh Place. District 3, the location is Dixon Elementary School, 2400 Pilgrim Square Drive. District 4, the location is Hillside Elementary School2250 Lynette Ln. District 5, the location is Public Safety Building, Court Room, 2100 N. Calhoun Rd.District 6, the location is Swanson Elementary School, 305 N. Calhoun Rd. and District 7 is St. Luke Catholic School, 18000 W. Greenfield Ave. All polling places are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on election day.
