Woman Accused Of Battery Of Town Of Brookfield Police Officers

BROOKFIELD, WI—Town of Brookfield Police were dispatched on Monday for a suspicious person who was reported to possibly be smoking drugs in the 20200 block of West Bluemound Road, according to a news release. Officers located a woman on Bluemound Road and Poplar Creek Pkwy. Town of Brookfield officers were dispatched to a suspicious person in the 20200 block of W Bluemound Road. Patch Editor Karen Pilarski took photos of a person being put in a transport chair. She ran into a wooded area where officers made contact and attempted to speak with the woman. The woman refused to identify herself and became combative with law enforcement. A Patch editor was nearby and noticed several officers in the wooded area and a person being strapped to a transport chair. A 52-year-old woman was taken into custody and transported to the Waukesha County Jail. Three counts of Battery to Law Enforcement, one count of Resisting and Obstructing an Officer and three counts of Bail Jumping will be referred to the Waukesha County District Attorney's Office for their review. A woman was arrested on Bluemound Road and Poplar Creek Pkwy after running from police. Patch Editor Karen Pilarski took photos of a person being taken into police custody.The City of Waukesha Police Department, Waukesha County Sheriff's Department and the Town of Brookfield Fire and Rescue responded and assisted at the scene.
