Press release from the City of Charleston: December 18, 2020 City of Charleston offices will be closed Thursday, December 24, Friday, December 25, Thursday, December 31 and Friday, January 1, in observance of Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. Police and fire will report as scheduled. Refuse and recycling collection will take place on an alternative schedule both weeks.
