RESTON, VA — While it's been a tough year for many businesses due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Greater Chamber of Commerce recently recognized the most engaged businesses, members, and committees in Reston over the past year at the 2020 Awards for Chamber Excellence ceremony. In a typical year, the Chamber would fete the awardees at its annual membership luncheon in June. But, due to the restrictions caused by the pandemic, the Chamber hosted a virtual event on Nov. 19 to recognizes the honorees' contributions to Reston's business community. 2020 ACE Award Winners: Small Business of the Year - Steven Toole / Toole & AssociatesMedium Business of the Year - M & T BankLarge Business of the Year - LeidosMember of the Year – Kevin Taylor / Communicate by DesignNew Member of the Year - Linda Graziano / AppQueenCommittee of the Year - Reston Chamber Cup Golf CommitteeContributor of the Year - Iris Britt / Iris Britt ConsultingYoung Professional of the Year - Eric Zutler / Pearson Smith RealtyInnovation Award - KME DigitalPinnacle Award - Tom Madden / Visual Impact ProductionsPresident's Award - Dee Kakar / M&T Bank The Chamber also introduced its new 2020-2021 Board Directors, whom the membership confirmed in June. 2020 - 2021 Board of Directors: Tom Madden, Visual Impact Productions 2020-2021, Chair ElectJeff Makhlouf, Sheraton RestonAlex Lane, Northwest Federal Credit UnionKenyetta Price, Boston PropertiesBob Hicks, Bean Kinney Korman PCJoey Musmar, MillerMusmar CPAsJohn Deardorff, Reston Hospital CenterMichael Delpierre, Conversion PipelineJames Estep, John Marshall BankMike Frantz, SOS InternationalLeila Gordon, Reston Community CenterShane Murphy, Reed Smith LLPLaura Siko, Northern Virginia Community CollegeCarrie Welch, ComfortWorksHank Lynch, Reston AssociationChris Pharo, LeidosTyson Warren, Hyatt Regency Reston
