Road Closure Planned For VDOT Work In Oakton

OAKTON, VA — The Virginia Department of Transportation is planning an upcoming road closure in Oakton. A portion of Fox Mill Road will be closed from 8 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 24 to 5 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 27. VDOT crews will be replacing a stormwater pipe on Fox Mill Road during these closures. Fox Mill Road will be closed to traffic between Bronzedale Drive and Hunt Road. Those living along Fox Mill Road will have access to their properties, but traffic will not be able to go beyond the point of pipe replacement in either direction. Traffic will be detoured via Bronzedale Drive, Waples Mill Road, West Ox Road and Vale Road back to Fox Mill Road. Work is weather permitting. Oakton: Fox Mill Rd between Bronzedale & Hunt will be closed from 8/24 - 8/27 for our Fairfax Specialty Crew Rockstars to replace a stormwater pipe.
