Axis Math Tutoring was founded by a Ph.D. graduate from Columbia University and a math teacher/math consultant with over 20 years of experience teaching mathematics to high school and college students. We offer personalized one-on-one tutoring sessions, as well as small tutoring groups. We assist students with their algebra and geometry lessons, and we offer extensive tutoring in trigonometry, pre-calculus, and calculus. Furthermore, we’re experts in ACT and SAT prep, including PSAT and SAT II. Our services are ideal for students who need help preparing for quizzes/tests, finishing their homework, or more generally enhancing their mathematics skills. After just a few appointments, students will see a difference. If they want to get the most out of our service, we recommend that students book at least two weekly appointments. Each appointment lasts between forty-five minutes to an hour. In special cases, students can book longer appointments. No contracts or signup fees are required. Instead, we offer a “pay-as-you-go” system. However, our services are in high demand, so we suggest that you book your session well in advance in order to reserve it. Most tutoring sessions are held virtually or at the student’s home or at mutually agreeable place (i.e. library, etc). Students can invite friends or classmates to join them and share in their tutoring appointments. Shared sessions cost an additional fee per student. In other words, a student can share their hour session with a friend, but the total charge would be shared between the students. Before finishing a session, we make sure to answer all questions and go over all concerns. Students will leave knowing how to solve their math homework and feeling confident that they’ll ace their next test. We guarantee student satisfaction—in fact, we’re so sure of our abilities, that we won’t charge for a session that is less than 100% satisfactory.
