Tampa Police Investigate Anonymous Threat To University Of Tampa

TAMPA, FL — Tampa police are investigating an anonymous threat that was emailed the University of Tampa. According to police, at 10:20 a.m. Friday the university at 820 W. North A St. received an email threatening to attack the school for expelling him. An interior and exterior sweep was conducted around the university campus, in partnership with UT security. The school was not evacuated. Nothing suspicious was found. During the investigation, police learned that other schools throughout the state received the same threatening email. Tampa police detectives are coordinating with other law enforcement agencies to find whoever sent the emails.
