WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TX — A judge on Monday denied a motion to dismiss indictments against former Williamson County Sheriff Robert Chody and attorney Jason Nassour on a case centered on the death of a Black man who died after police used a stun gun on him, according to a published report. Visiting Judge Sid Harle denied the motions as he seeks to proceed with the discovery portion of the case, according to The Austin American-Statesman. Discovery involves the turning over of evidence by prosecutors to defense attorneys. Chody and Nassour were indicted in September on an evidence tampering charge related to reality TV footage showing deputies chasing Ambler after he failed to dim his headlights.
