Class dates April 14, 6pm-9pm & April 24, 8am-5pm
Traditional in-person courses are available to all students and are taught by trained, certified volunteer instructors who meet state and international standards. Volunteer instructors provide valuable information to new hunters including insight into the sport of hunting, resources and support. In-person courses provide students the opportunity to ask questions of instructors and gain further guidance. There is a $20 fee to help cover facility rental or cleaning costs.
This class convenes in two sessions.
The first session is Wednesday April 14th from 6pm-9pm. This is where students receive their homework assignments and start the lessons and survival kit requirements for the second session.
The second session is Saturday April 24th from 8am-5pm. Tree stand safety, blood trailing, map and compass, survival and first aid, shot placement, ethics and land owner relations and a final test are just a few topics covered in this session.
