For the love of Music

Description

I am 62 years old, have played in a few bands over my years, written a few songs over the years and I am retired now and looking to find other musicians who would enjoy just playing to play and have fun. I am not looking to play out any longer it holds no interest to me dragging heavy stuff around, I don't have much of an ego, really I would like to find a few people who would just like to play to sound good. I don't care if we play one song, as long as it sounds good. I am looking for other players who are tired of leaving a rehearsal/jam with ringing ears. it can just be sit and learn two separate guitar parts, but no two or more players should be playing the same part. I am looking for folks who just want to put things together to sound melodic no matter the style. If I look at a band setting I think the Eagles and The Beatles nailed this. I don't need a whole band even, maybe just another guitar player who would like to sit down and learn a song or two, or as many as they would like, but play because you love it, not because you want to be noticed. Play for you and your own self satisfaction, not to impress me or anyone else for that matter. Just enjoy playing. I am a fair guitar player, can also fill in on bass, and very basic drum stuff. I have a nice place to play, the ability to record and I am open to anyone who wishes to just maybe get better at playing, achieve a better sound, wants to record something they have written, etc. It's all just about having fun, my goal is to just get better at playing, and to learn to turn the volume down, and get a clear tight sound. If you are learning guitar, and can play at least one song all the way through, that's fine, we can start with that, if you are a guitar genius and just wish to keep your chops oiled up, also fine. The two most important things for me are, Loud does not equal good, no one should be the loudest person in the group, I don't care if you just walked off the stage in Nashville and everyone in America knows your name, when you come you are no better than anyone else, it's not an ego stroking session, it's for enjoyment and artistry and the love of music and all it's ever given to human beings. I play guitar mostly, getting harder all the time with aging and just want a couple of folks who a maybe the same. It can just be we sit and work on acoustic guitars, just a couple of us, or three, four, five whatever. I am in Spring City, this is where I want to get together. My ideal outcome would be to find a person whom I can just play with, learn with, and create with, no ego, no, I want more me in the monitor, I want more me in the mains. I want to avoid all that, we work with the sound until it is well balanced for whatever we are doing, if you have to play and have something to do while we are achieving getting the sound balanced out, then stay home. I raised my kids already, don't need to be telling you to stop playing while we create a good EQ setting for the snare drum etc. Obviously the smaller the group the easier it is to do. I am really fine with just one other guitar player and maybe a vocalist. It can be simple and should be, it stays enjoyable when everyone can hear everyone else. Any questions about what I mean listen to Hotel California and Lying Eyes. That is good sound, and it works as good for AC/DC. It's all about not playing over one another, but with one another. I will leave it at that, contact me through here if you are possibly interested, I look forward to conversing with anyone who wants to have fun with music. Thanks for reading and have a great life all of you who enjoy music.
